The original distillery school is back, with a combined experience of over 80 years, the course is hosted by Kristy Lark with Bill and Lyn Lark stopping in to offer their insights and answer questions. If you are interested in starting you own distillery, want more hands-on experience or are looking for a complete experience then this is the course for you. Numbers are limited to 6 people (minimum of 2) per course, if you would like to have a larger group please contact us to discuss options. Each course will be tailored to the students to cover more of what is important to them, including whisky production, gin and white spirit distillation and recipe development, navigating the ATO application process and the steps to achieving distillery compliance.
During your 3-day course you will be taken through the art of distillation including information on brewing, distilling, barrel selection and management. You will get hands on distilling practice, the use of ATO approved alcohol measuring equipment and the opportunity to explore the distilling world in depth.
At the end of the course you can feel confident to apply for your own licences to start your very own distillery.
